Events
Studium Iuris promotes academic events to discuss topics of interest in legal history and related disciplines. There are two types of events: Law History Colloquia, which consists of simple lectures by a visiting professor; and Encontros de História do Direito (Legal History Meetings), which holds several conferences and presentation of papers lasting a few days.
Legal History Meetings is a traditional event in the area (legal history) in Brazil: it is one of the oldest and with the most editions, held regularly since 2007. The first nine were held in Santa Catarina. Since 2016, the editions alternate between Florianópolis and Belo Horizonte.
