Full professor of History of Medieval and Modern Law of the University of Florence (Italy), where he is also dean of the Law School, coordinator of the Theory and History of Law area within the Ph.D School in Legal Sciences and Director of the Centro di Studi per la Storia del Pensiero Giuridico Moderno. His main research interests are history of Italian legal culture, history of legal institutes of private law and codification in modern Europe.
Full professor of History of Medieval and Modern Law of the University of Macerata (Italy), where he was rector from 2010 until 2016. Ph.D in Legal History from the University of Perugia (Italy). He is the editor of the Giornale di Storia Costituzionale and of the Quaderno di Storia del Penale e della Giustizia. Nowadays, his main research interests concerns history of criminal law, history of constitutional law and comparative legal history.
Full professor of Legal History of the Ghent University (Belgium). Ph.D in Law from the Catholic University of Leuven (Belgium). He is an honorary member of the Ghent Bar and substitute justice of the peace in Kortrijk (Belgium). Nowadays, his main research interests concerns history of the legal professions, legal iconography and early modern private and public law.
Full professor of History of Medieval and Modern Law of the University of Ferrara (Italy). Ph.D. in Legal History from the University of Macerata (Italy) with a visiting research fellowship at the Max Planck Institut für Europäische Rechtsgeschichte (Germany). Visiting professor and visiting researcher in German, English and American universities. Nowadays, his main research interests concerns history of criminal law and history of migrations legal control.
Full professor of History of Medieval and Modern Law of the University of Milan Statale (Italy), she teaches legal medieval and modern history and history of the penal justice for the Degree in Law. She is member of Legal Sciences Cesare Beccaria Ph.D Committee. From 2015 she entered the Istituto Lombardo Accademia di Scienze e Lettere and from 2019 she represents the same institution in the board of directors of the BEIC (Biblioteca Europea di Informazione e Cultura). She is the editor of the Italian Review of Legal History. Visiting professor at the Federal University of Minas Gerais (Belo Horizonte, Brazil) and several times visiting scholar at the University of California Berkeley (USA). Nowadays, her main research interest concerns history of criminal justice and procedural law and history of international law. Some of her publications are: Early Italian Scholars of ius gentium.
